BUZZZZZ

I've been a busy, busy, busy bee, and a neglectful blogger.  Here's what's been happening since we were at the Renegade Craft Fair in Austin back in May:
Gypsy Market here in Kansas City: while it was super windy we had a great time!
Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago in September: AMAZING
Since then I've been working like crazy on wholesale orders! It's so fun to know that my little shoes are going to be available all over the country!
Next up: MommyCon in Kansas City on October 26, Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago Dec 7-8.
Then in January I plan to hang out with my friends!  I haven't seen any of them in so long! And I'll start working on a new fabric collection.

I'll post pictures of some of the new shoes I've been working on real soon!  Check back!

Fruit Ninja Baby | I was featured in a blog!

I LOVE THIS!!

Swedish photographer Emil Nystrom digitally inserts his 1-year-old daughter into such crazy situations as fixing a car, wielding a ninja sword or flying after a plane. Interestingly, some of the photos were made even before baby Singhild could crawl, her mom Isabelle had to hold her up for a shoot and be erased from the frame later.

Follow this link to see more!

Ann Kilzer from the 365 days of pattern blog interviewed me about the M collection!  I am honored!  Read the whole post here.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Obscure Holiday & Some Savings for byMindy Customers

Today is National Splurge Day!  Here's a little info about the holiday:

National Splurge Day

When : Always June 18th
It's National Splurge Day, oh Yeah!
There are certain dates on the calendar that you look forward to with great excitement. You mark the date and wait in eager anticipation. For me, National Splurge Day is one of those very special days.
National Splurge Day is a day to treat yourself excessively, to anything you want. And, to excess if you desire. Isn't that a great thing?  Maybe, you're on a diet, and that special dessert is too many calories. Maybe, you want to buy a steak, and the budget is a little tight. Toss out the reservations, and go for it today.

Celebrate this day to the fullest degree. Treat yourself to whatever you want and to excess . For, this is a day to splurge. Do so without worry or concern...until tomorrow.

To celebrate byMindy is offering a great deal to let you Splurge a little & Save A LOT!
To cash in this great deal, visit www.bymindy.etsy.com, select the item(s) you wish to purchase, then enter the code "HOLIDAY" in the coupon section at checkout!

Hope you all are having a great summer so far!  We are busy little bees prepping for Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago in September!

The M Collection

So in my last post I wrote a little teaser about my 1st line of fabric "The M Collection".  I thought I might tell you just a little bit more about it.

I'd be thinking about designing a line for a long time, but always felt like it wasn't the right moment.  For Christmas this last year, my supportive parents gave me a wacom tablet.  Once I got accustomed to using  it ... GAME ON!

Most of the inspiration came from nature.  I did, however, also seek inspiration from some pretty normal icons (arrows).

After designing numerous patterns & selecting my 30 favorite, I had a collection.  I ordered a sample from Spoonflower.  When my package arrived & I opened it, I felt like a kid on Christmas.  I was super happy with how it all turned out.  After the excitement faded, a little disappointment came over me.  I realized that with prepping for all the upcoming sales, I couldn't afford to order my fabric so I could make products out of it.

A few weeks went by & a package arrived at the house.  My hubby had ordered 10 of the fabrics so I could have it for the upcoming shows!  He's got some serious brownie points accrued right now.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of my fabric.  Let me know what are your favorites!

All of these fabrics are available for sale at: http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/bymindy

The following links will direct you to products for sale made out of The M Collection.

Back in Action

We're back! We've been gone for a while, it seems like forever. We went to Austin, TX for the Renegade Craft Fair. It was AWESOME!! So many great makers of things all together in one place working towards common goals! I love it! Back in Kansas City we participated in the Gypsy Market Royale! We had so much fun! The clouds & wind couldn't bring us down. Here's some pictures from our latest adventures to tide you over as we update our Etsy shop... in progress now.
Doh!!  Almost forgot!  I designed my own line of fabric which we are calling "The M Collection".  All of our products are available in my designs.  Check out the whole line at Spoonflower.  All of my fabrics are available for purchase as well.
